Berthe Des Clayes lived in London (1906-1912) and then settled in Montréal, Québec in 1912. She spent the year travelling to England and France in 1919-20 before settling in Chorleywood, England until 1931. She then returned to Montréal until 1951. In 1967, she went to live in Devon, England, where she died the following year, at the age of 91.
