Born in Vancouver, British Columbia, Snow was a banker with the Royal Bank of Canada from 1928 to 1971. During the Second World War he served as navigator with the RCAF in Great Britain, North Africa and India. On his return to Calgary, Snow started to paint and studied life drawing under Maxwell Bates, at the Alberta College of Art and Design (ACAD), from 1947 to 1949. His work has been exhibited across Canada.
